Put your plant, technology and services in front of NSW's buyers.

NSW is Australia's biggest waste and resource recovery market. NSW no longer has a dedicated event built around its own market. Take a stand on the expo floor, with pre-booked 1-to-1 meetings alongside it.

NSW is Australia's biggest waste and resource recovery market

Direct access to council and government buyers

NSW councils control significant waste service budgets and are under growing pressure to roll out FOGO, reduce landfill reliance and meet circular economy targets - all of which is driving fresh demand for new suppliers and technology.

A qualified, senior audience

Sydney's waste and resource recovery sector has consistently attracted council decision-makers, infrastructure owners and operators with genuine budget and purchasing authority to past NSW trade events.

Be there from the start

As a foundation exhibitor, you'll help shape the exhibition floor, sector zones and content programme for years to come - with the visibility and goodwill that comes from backing a new NSW-first marketplace from year one.

Real commercial outcomes

Generate qualified leads, launch new products and stay visible to the industry that will define NSW's circular economy transition over the next decade.

Who you will meet

A qualified, senior audience.

The Waste & Resource Recovery Expo is built for the organisations that plan, fund, build and operate NSW's waste and resource recovery systems: private operators, councils and government agencies, and the engineers and consultants who write their specifications.

Editorial mapping, not copy: the five chips per persona are drawn from the twelve expo-floor categories already rendered in the expo-floor section on this page (copy-03 SECTION 2 supplies no chips for this section)

Why they are buying

NSW regulation and NSW funding are moving buying decisions now.

Pending: section lede - copy-03 SECTION 3 supplies none
Pending: section photography - no WRR artwork exists yet (WRR-40)

Councils are buying together

State-funded: "a $16 million investment in a new joint procurement facilitation service to make it easier for local government to collectively procure waste services", initially targeting major Greater Sydney waste contracts.

Pending: initial-phase Greater Sydney half is unverified (WRR-50)

FOGO and contract renewal

Mandated organics separation puts a FOGO rollout on council plans across NSW, alongside kerbside collection and contract renewal. NSW has 128 local councils, and the rules are state-wide.

The nation's largest levy

At $171.20 a tonne in metropolitan NSW for 2025-26, the nation's largest waste levy prices what goes to landfill. Every tonne an operator or a council diverts is money kept.

The meetings programme

Meetings booked before you arrive.

The Expo adds pre-booked 1-to-1 meetings inside a full trade floor. connexU has run the meetings programme since 2022.

Step 1 of 4

Say what you sell

When you book your stand, you tell us what you sell and which organisations you want in front of it.

Step 2 of 4

Your meetings are booked

Meetings are booked ahead of the Expo, so you arrive with a schedule of 1-to-1 conversations already in place.

Step 3 of 4

Meetings and the expo floor

Your stand is open across both days of a full trade exhibition, and the booked meetings happen on it, added to the expo floor rather than replacing it.

Step 4 of 4

Leave with the contacts

You leave with the conversations you had and the organisations behind them: what they are specifying, and when they expect to buy.
